Dr Stephan A. Schwartz is possibly one of the most prolific figures in parapsychological research. He essentially founded the field of Remote Viewing research having performed many independent experiments of the phenomena, yielding very significant results, and opening the world to the possibility that our minds are able to reach far beyond the boundaries of our physical bodies. His Curriculum Vitae is incredibly extensive and far too packed with impressive positions, activities and research practices for me to be able to aptly note down in this small introductory paragraph, so I strongly advise visiting his website and listening to his many talks and presentations available online.

In this discussion we look at what prompted Dr Schwartz to begin looking into parapsychology and its associated phenomena when so many scientists shy away from it or proclaim it to be a pseudoscience of no value to society at all. We then see the variety of experiments Dr Schwartz performed, what the results showed, and how they shaped his view of the mind and of reality.

Dr Woollacott's Biography from her website (https://marjoriewoollacott.com/about/bio/)

Marjorie Hines Woollacott, PhD, has been a neuroscience professor at the University of Oregon for more than three decades and a meditator for almost four. She also has a master’s degree in Asian studies, which she began on a teaching sabbatical and completed at the UO while a full-time professor.  Her master’s thesis was the foundation for her latest book, Infinite Awareness: The Awakening of a Scientific Mind, which is both a scientist’s memoir and a research survey on human consciousness. Dr. Woollacott is currently the president of the Academy for the Advancement of Postmaterialist Sciences (AAPS) and the Research Director for the International Association of Near-Death Studies (IANDS).

Woollacott’s own research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation, and includes both research in neuroscience and testing the efficacy of alternative forms of therapy such as tai chi and meditation for improving both attention and balance in adults. She also has published studies on sensory contributions to music performance, in collaboration with Steven Pologe, professor of cello performance in the UO School of Music, and studies on attentional network changes associated with meditation practice.

With Dr. Anne Shumway-Cooke, Woollacott has coauthored a popular textbook for health professionals, Motor Control: Theory and Practical Applications, in its fifth edition, and she has written more than 200 peer-reviewed research articles and book chapters. She has been the keynote speaker at conferences in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, and has taught courses not only in neuroscience and rehabilitation medicine but also in meditation, hatha yoga, and alternative and complementary medicine. Her undergraduate work and doctoral studies were in neuroscience at the University of Southern California.

In this episode we look at Dr Woollacott's personal research into various phenomena and how it has changed her perspectives of life and consciousness, with the perspective of her training in academic Neuroscience.

Nanci Trivellato started her journey of investigating aspects of life beyond the realm of the physical after her many experiences as a child and ongoing of Astral Projection, or willful out of body experiences. Since that time Nanci has grown a very deep interest in learning more about how her experiences work, and why they happen. She has incorporated her own experiences with a scientific approach through her many activities as a senior researcher for the International Academy of Consciousness and Institute of Applied Consciousness Technologies. She has mentored many on a variety of courses on the nature of consciousness, how to induce and out of body experience, how to control lucidity in non-physical environments, and how to approach the phenomena from a scientifically open point of view. Her TEDx talk on the subject from 2016 proved very popular and very thought provoking.

Following this interview, Nanci invited me to join the International Academy of Consciousness' course, the "Consciousness Development Program", without charge to help me further my investigations on a more personal experiential level. I'm incredibly grateful to her and the academy for giving me that opportunity, and I plan to give my best efforts into finally being able to explore the non-physical for myself.
